It seems like having parking spots and an auto shop should mean anything parked in those slots are getting repaired while time passes and you are not using them. It also gives some temporary buffs that seem unimportant. So I get there and I find out it just makes repair kits or upgrade kits that don't even need the auto shop to use and can be bought from traders or found in the world.
